In 2012, in response to the Town Board’s Deer Management Plan, EHGW submitted “Deer: A Humane Plan,” which described non-lethal methods of living in harmony with the deer.

On numerous occasions we have provided information on landscaping with deer-resistant plants to town residents through leaflets and newspaper advertisements.
In 2012 EHGW prepared and widely distributed a brochure called “Deer and You: Learn to Appreciate and Live in Harmony with White-Tailed Deer.” The brochure addressed Lyme Disease, deer-vehicle collisions, facts about deer, a list of deer resistant plants, and nonlethal action items to avoid problems people might have with deer.
